THEPIERIAN . . . . ' . i 935 To our Subscribers: We present the Pierian as a remembrance of the nineteen- thirty-five Senior Class. In giving you this annual, there are several points that we believe should be brought to your attention. This book is supported by subscriptions and income from other Senior activities. In order to have an annual, we are required to have a certain number of paid subscriptions. This year our campaign drive was very successful and we feel that we owe you a word of thanks for your faith and support. As our second point, we wish to express our appreciation to the school executives and the teachers for their cooperation and patience during the preparation of this book. Last, but not least, we wish to remind you of the fact that many people are involved in the publishing of our annual. Our staff gathered the material, and the printer printed it. In order to get the material, many students have donated their services. We say donated because they receive no credits, no money, no prominence. We, as managers, are given praise or blame, but very seldom do the students who work under us get any reward if the book is good. If this year book has pleased you in any way, we feel that is the result of your faith and support, the faculty ' s fine cooperation and patience, and our loyal, hardworking staff. It is our sincere hope that in the years to come when you open this book, you may find it a pleasant reminder of your friends and activities at Morton. Edward Harris, Editor Robert WissleR. Business Manager The pen is mightier than the sword and less anwieldif.
