A triangular meet was held March 18 at Tenino with Tenino, Oakville, and Morton participating. A meet was also held with Randle and Onalaska. rue! Under the instruction of Mr. Foubert, spring 1952, the track men really trained. At their first track meet they did very well for the short practice time they had. Gordon Thomas came in second in the 220. He also took third place in the high jump. Gary Danley took third place in the 100-yard dash. Tom Benton came in second place in the high jump. Jack Moriarty placed third in throwing discus. Gordon Thomas seemed to be the big wheel at the track meet at State School, Chehalis, Washington, May 16. He placed first in the 100 and the 220-yard dash. He also took first in the high jump. Tom Benton tied for second in the high jump and took second in throwing the shot put. Don Cramer did very well at his first track meet by taking the mile and the half mile. Jim Bassett came in first in the 400. Tom Eyley took second in the half mile and third in the mile. All in all, a good time was had by everyone--especially when the re- freshments were served. The V. F.
