KH I s T o R Y, concludedp Chapter III UPPER CLASSMEN AT LAST C The Class of '52 numbered 52 at their entrance this year, but during the school term gained more. We found our third year a busy one. The junior girls sold candy, popcorn, soda pop, and hot dogs at the games. During the year the juniors presented a play, Hillbilly Courtship, as another means to raise money for this project. The theme for our senior ball, Harbor Lights, was beautifully carried out in harbor scenes in blue with black silhouettes. Class advisors in our junior year were Miss truvedson and Mr. Beller. In the election of offi- cers the following won out: President, Gary Danleyg Vice-President, Orville Clevengerg Trea- surer, Don Howlett, Secretary, Lila McHenryg Student Council Representative, Gary Colemang Sergeant-at-Arms, Byron Amburgy. chqpfef IV our GOAL REACHED As mighty seniors our goal is reached, after four very successful years at Broadbent High. Of- ficers elected were Donald Howlett, Presidentg Sue Stamper, Vice-President, Edith Brewster, Secretaryg Pat Sanders, Student Council Representativeg and Earl Carbough, Sergeant-at-Arms. John Vipond was elected Student Council President. Again our class, was well represented in school activities. We can now relax briefly and watch the other students still climbing the ladder of high school learning. We number 40. qc L A s s w 1 L L, coneludedy I Kenneth Riffe will my rowdiness to Lloyd Harris. To anyone who is healthy and able, I June Mills will my Saturday nights. I Kenneth Stanley will my driving ability to Don Gillispie, since he's got a licence. I Maureen Perkins will the mimeographing machine to anyone who has the strength to throw it out the window. I Eugene Tiller will my place in Mr. Carle's English class to whoever wants it. I Patricia Sanders will the little bottle of aspirin in my locker to anyone on next year's paper staff. To Jim Coston, I John Vipond will my receding hair line. I Esther Short will the good breaks in my Chev to Thelma Sloan. I Sue Stamper will my quietness to Morton High School -- it certainly needs it. I Joanne Stiltner will my love for Randle, which was willed to me last year, to Sharon Mahon. I Ramona Tappan will take my love for a certain sailor with me. I Barbara Thornsberry will my fighting temper to Mae Bonar. I Pat Rich will leave. The foregoing instrument was, by the said class of nineteen hundred and fifty-two, signed, sealed, published, and declared by us to be its last will and testament. We have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. Attest Maureen Perkins 62 Thelma Sloan
