BATTING AVERAGE FIRST ROW: Left to right: Ralph Looney, Dick Goodwin, John Vipond, Don Gillispie, Don Goodwin, Bary Danley, Byron Amburgy, SECOND ROW: Orville Clevenger, Gary Coleman, Dick Lacey, Coach Loete Dave Randall, Dwayne Loden, and Lloyd Harris. .gaifegdf Despite losinga large share of their 1950 hitting power, the 1951 Huskies nine turned in a very successful season. Early-season practice games saw the Huskies emerge victorious in two contests with Centralia High as well as in dumping highly-favored Centralia Junior College. In regular league play the diamond squad finished a strong season. As the annual goes to the printer, 1952 baseball prospects appear promising. A large number of lettermen, giving the Huskies experience in hitting, fielding, and catching, pro- vides the nucleus around which Coach Loete hopes to build a championship crew.
