NOT IN PICTURE: Thelma Sloan, Georgie Thiel, Gary Danley, ala el' Sag This year the advanced typing class published the monthly school paper, HUSKY FLASI-IES, Several improvements were made, such as the omission of gossip, which was repl aced by Personals turned in by various members of the class and the addition of a Boy and Girl of the Month column. Honored ones were chosen for activities, school spirit, personality, scholastic ability and neatness of appearance, Editor and Assistant Editor for the first semester were Maureen Perkins and June Mills. The second semester June Mills was Editor, with Thelma Sloan as Assistant. Art work was done by Thelma Sloan and Pat Sanders, Special effort was made to cut good stencils and to develop writing ability by each member completing assignments such as feature stories, editorials, and personals. Assignments were frequently rotated to give the members varied experiences. Sixth period was scheduled for paper workg however, free periods and after school time was hequently used. It is the general feeling among the class that our success in publishing the HUSKY FLASHES was due to the guidance of our advisor, Mrs. Long.
