George Wash- ington Slept Here is a comedy about a family who moves from a city apart- ment to a 200 year old house in the cotuitry. Newton Fuller has pur- chased the old house without con- sulting the rest of his family and can't understand why his wife Annabelle doesn't share his enthusiasm for their new home. After all, they finally have a place of their own where they can be close to nature, and an add- ed bonus is that it is a place with a history. Why! Legend has it that George Washington himself actually slept in the very house Newton Fuller has pur- chased. Yet Anna- belle isn't impress- ed, and she is even less impressed when she sees how run down the house is, finds out they have no water, and is informed that they will have to spend lots of money to keep insects from destroying the na- tural beauty around them. To make matters worse, the Fullers have to put up with an unfriend- ly neighbor, obnox- ious relatives, and a daughter-snatch- ing actor. Student direc- tors for the play were: Jan Prodehl, Dave Price, and Scott Vermillion.
