Sharon Bell qirLs nurses’ aides (iiris’ Nurse’s Aides was an on-the- job training work experience program designed to teach interested young women the fundamentals of medical assistance. Three days out of the week the girls would go to a nearby hospital to put their learning into action. In a few years, if they continue in their studies, they will have the opportunity to become Registered Nurses and all that hard work will have paid off. They never told me anything about doing the laundry I love reading True Confessions!!!

summer sadness on a moonlit night reflecting on the magic of yesterdays. fills my entire being with sorrow — longing for past happiness. i spend countelss sleepless nights in tears hoping to relive the golden times. but. in vain, for time spent in pleasure flics by on the fleeting wings of silver doves. while sadness lingers painfully to inflict the agony too many times. oh! to relive the magic just once more and perhaps revive the smiling face deep within my soul... to be happy again! that is my wish. but knowing, oh too well, that wishes are a part of childhood and i can’t believe in santa claus any longer .. •sunshine (Maria Thibcaulti
