PRINCIPAL RAYMOND FARNHAM A journey of ten thousand miles begins with a single step 1S an old Chinese Proverb that has significant appl1cat1on to you In June vou will have achieved an important step in your life This import ant transition from high school will bring you in contact w1th varied and chal lengmg experiences in the educational business and industrial world Important too will be your responsibility of becoming a citizen that respects laws respects the rights of other people and participates in community better ment programs Step by step as you have progressed in age and experience a code of values a framework of character traits and a sense of honor have been developing These factors will be the strengths to provide the energy the stabilizers and the moulders which will guide you and your associates in the years to come. A major objective that needs strengthening is the practice of cooperation within your groups. ealousy destroys group ambition, lowers morale, and creates a schism. It is a test of greatness in a person when he can subordinate his desires to ideas and plans that benefit a group. In farewell the steps that have built character, a sense of personal pride and honor, respect for law, and cooperation will assist you in meeting and solving favorably the ten thousand experiences ahead.
