EDIVARD POMEROY Student Council Mcmizers FRANK BLANCHARD THOMAS POWERS IVILLIAM LUKE SUSAN BATES ELIZABETH MARCHETTI VERNA XVATTS DENNIS RING The Senior Class activities for the year included a food sale, the selling of Christmas cards, a spring supper, the class play, and the class assembly, which was held on February 14. Many members of the class took part in the Mohiba Talent Show. The Queen candidates were Betty Robinson and Mary Baird. At the ball, Mary was crowned Queen. Many Seniors participated in sports. In football, VVilliam Luke and Boyd Harrington were co-captains. Others on the team were Thomas Powers. Alfred Proctor, Daniel Crifiiths, Donald Mank. Charles Pierce, Louis Stone. Richard Harrison. Alfred Proctor was nominated for honorable mention as a tackle on the All Maine High School Team. Also, YVilliam Luke was nominated for honor- able mention as a back on the All Maine Team. Tommy and Bill played in every quarter during the season. On the basketball team were Ray Bishop. Richard Towle, Charles Pierce, Donald Thayer. and Boyd Ilarrington. Cheerleaders were Margo Parks and Ioan Robinson. Margo was head cheerleader. Many girls belonged to the Girls' Athletic Association and took part in the 'liter school sports program. On the GAA. board were Verna Watts. President. Betty Marchetti. Treasurerg and Nancy Doyle. Senior Representative. Members of the class in the band were Mary Baird. Dennis Ring. Frances Butcher. Margo Parks, Carmen Cormier, Lyndon Harris. Joseph Fullerton. Lucy Smith, Sandra Sinclair, Susan Bates, jean Shumway, and Albert Douglas. 12

NATHAN VVATSON Class projects for the year included running checkrooms at basketball games, taking part in the Lion's Club light bulb sale, and other activities. Several Iu- niors took part in Mohiba. The Mohiba Queen candidates were Arlene King and Marilyn McCobb. Marilyn was runner-up. The Juniors were active in sports. Carl Stinson and Peter Cooper were chosen co-captains of the football team for the 1958 season. The class was well represented on the basketball teams, with Eddie Avery, Stuart Bradway, Fred Brown, Tom Costain, and Willard Sprague on varsity. In cheerleading, the varsity squad was composed of mainly juniors. Var- sity cheerleaders were Marilyn McCobb, Arlene King, Edna McPhee, Carol Hooker, Linda Leeman, Linda Stinson, and Iudith Ashe. Sally Mullaney was on the junior varsity squad. Edna XVhite was Vice President of the C.A.A. Board, and Carol Hooker was Secretary. The junior Representative was Loretta Bailey. The class was also well represented in the band. 14
