The Science Club was established at Morro Bay High to promote interest and ability in all parts of science. Sponsored by Mr. Dunn, the club has undertaken experiments in many fields of science and has increased the knowledge of its members. Its attendance has flou- rished since its first year and it is hoped that it will continue to be a suc- cess. 9CIENCE CLUB STANDING: Don Goodwin, Jeff Tindall, Bob Moffatt, Glen McCouUough, Greg Bahl. The Lettermen ' s Club, headed by Mike Fields as presi- dent, had as their main project, be- sides lettering, selling concession at dances and games.

The FHA has concen- trated on money -making projects to finance a trip to San Francisco in the fall. Included in the ac- tivities were various bake sales and a bazaar. The club sent fourteen girls to the section con- vention at Cal Poly, and two to the state conven- tion. F. H. A. ROW 1: Carolyn Haugan, Betty Roberts, Elaine Vieira, Sue Shipman, Shane Mize. ROW 2: Diane McElmoyl, Jodi Brewer, Judy Case, Donna Brewer, Sue McKeuon. FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLUB ROW 1: Jim Phillips, Linda Booth, Eddie Andrew, Phyllis Willis. ROW 2: Roy Little, Karen Frasier, Tim Martin, ROW 3: Bill Bmnskill, Mary Ann Mills, Mr. Mores. FLC was established during the school year 1960-61 to further the interest of students in foreign languages and their culture. A film festival on foreign countries was shown to foreign language classes during the quarter. It also spon- sored a Calypso Caribe Day and Talent Show on the same day. HIGH G. A. A. The Sr. High GAA has kept busy this year with activities such as basketball, volleyball, trampoline, baseball, and track. They at- tended a playday at Lompoc and sponsored a county -wide sports day here. Money rais- ing projects included selling popcorn and popcorn balls. They were also co -sponsors of a carnival held in October. JR. HIGH G. A. A. The Jr. High started the year off with a candy cane sale. This was fol- lowed by a playday which was enjoyed by all. Another highlight of the year was a pot luck dinner at which the awards for the various sports activi- ties were presented.
