It is a pleasure for me to have this opportunity to express my personal good wishes to the graduating class. As you leave Morrisville, you are bringing to a close a most important experience in your life. You will now be called upon to demonstrate how meaningful this ex- perience has been. This is the most exciting time the world has ever known. We have reached new heights of technological progress and material prosperity, but we are beset on every side by domestic and international crises for which we have not yet found any real solutions. With the knowledge and skills you have acquired, you are well equipped to take your place in the economic life of our society. I hope you have also acquired a zest for living and learning, and a passion to become active participants in the world's dramas. I welcome you as members of the alumni of the State University of New York, and congratulate you on the years awaiting you when you can be full partners in the struggle for humane existence. Oneida Syracuse Congratulations to the Class of 1967. Your persis- tent efforts through two years of college at Morrisville have made it possible to attain a difficult goal, gradua- tion. It is a wonderful thing to set a difficult goal and to be persistent day after day over a long period of time un- til this first of many goals is reached. A persistent effort, day by day, works wonders Whenever applied. Surely you heard of the college fresh- man who was not expected to graduate. Yet, when grades came out, his name was missing from those not doing satisfactory work. As the year passed many of his smarter friends dropped along the wayside. This student's simple formula for success was per- sistence, The persistent person climbs the ladder of success. Best of luck to the class of 1967. Above else, persist in your goals. NELSON L.
