TLIDE T COUNCIL The Student Council, the main student organization on campus, is com- posed of student representatives from the five divisions of the Institute. Every Wednesday night ten Seniors and ten Freshmen meet to discuss, plan, schedule, and support student activities. The aim is to develop better relationships among the students, as well as to promote closer harmony between the Institute and the residents of the com- munity. This year the Student Council has successfully managed a 319,000 budget, covering such items as the following: Infirmary, health expenses, athletic ex- penses, yearbook expense, social nights, assemblies, awards and dinners, Wfinter Carnival, and Orientation Week. Morrisville is the only two-year Institute in the State University of New York where the Student Council directly handles the budget with, of course, the aid and advice of faculty advisors, Director Whipple and Mr. Metzler. .
