S MORRISVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ' ' -7545 4 Morrisville now has four public schools and one Catholic school. The Catholic and three of the public schools are for elementary grades. The latter include the Manor Park, the Case and the Capitol View Schools. The fourth public school is the Morris ville High School shown above. The first school in Morrisville was constructed on the land now occupied by the Tattersall Coal Company. It was built on land deeded by John Wood to Adam Hoops in 1764. In 1857 a two room brick school was built on Chambers Street and in 1876 a grammar school was erected on the adjoining lot. In 1892 this school became Morris- villeis first high school. The rapid growth of Morrisvilleis population makes an expansion of the present school system inevitable. Plans are now under consideration to enlarge the Manor Park School, to build an elementary school in the Washington Heights section of town, and to complete the high school. I'
