Besides giving enjoyable exhibitions of their vocal ability on Prize Day and at the Christmas Service the Glee Club also presented The Gondo- liers. For the fourth straight year, the boys of the Glee Club presented an op- eretta, and, as in the past, it was the work of Gilbert and Sullivan. The notes were first heard waiting through the halls of M. S. after the Christmas vacation. Following the Lower School Lunch and during activities period the choruses could be heard singing away in the music room. In the middle of Ianuary, the principals were chosen. The older members of the Glee Club were given the male leads and lower-formers were given the female leads. Pat Paterno and Phil Houck portrayed Gianetta and Tessa, the brides of the Gondo- liers, who were Dan Ayrault and Cal Edgar. The Duke of Plaza-Toro was played by Gerry Fogelson, and his retinue consisted of: Hank Fiensilver, his wife: Dick Lichtenstein, his daughter: and Ashley Seward, their own drum- mer boy. Mike Farney played the role of Don Alhambre Del Bolero and Duane Wahl played Inez.
