memory, as in future years we will recall the gayly decorated gymnasium, taxed to capacity with hundreds of our festive friends. The coveted goal was now within our grasp, we had come to the year of years- senior! It seemed only yesterday that we had entered the hall of knowledge as fresh- men. I-Iigh school days will soon be a pleasant memory, a dream in which some of us will take pleasure during moments of leisure in the workaday world, and others will cherish during their collegiate careers. We placed representatives on the varsity athletic teams who covered themselves and the school with much deserved glory. The dramatic talents of our class came to the fore in the presentation of our senior play, Dulcy, which proved to be a financial and social success. Under the guidance of our members, activities such as the Broadcaster and the Student Council reached new standards of service to the school. The basketball team closed its season in a blaze of glory, with senior veterans as the backbone of Morris- town's best team in years. How that final year slipped by! Beautiful spring weather during which nature displayed the beauty of our surroundings and caused us to regret the swiftly approach- ing end of those happy days. Finally Commencement Day-unbelievably present! CGHF 93 We have at last achieved the culmina- tion of our ambitions, for which we ex- tend our sincere appreciation to those mothers and fathers who have made pos- sible this education for which we are so deeply grateful. We also extend our deep gratitude to our beloved faculty who have labored so tirelessly to convey to us that valued knowledge which will prove so beneficial in future life. We are leaving Morristown High School with a love for her which has become an actual part of us during each of the four years spent within her portals. And, though our history may be lost in the annals of time, we sincerely hope that the future In Mgr rim: trim -gg: classes will have as much success in and H ---fa -. 0 love for Morristown High School as we, the - -. . President - Vire President Serrelary - Treasurer Adviser - WALTER DUFF NORMAN HORNER - JOSEPH DEMPSEY - v1c'roa1NE wiss MR. NWILLIAM FLYNN i SENIIORS On a sunny September day four years ago, there came into being the embryo of what was to be the Mor- ristown High School Class of nineteen thirty-seven. Faced by the perennial freshman problem of adjusting our- selves to the new surroundings, we plunged into all ac- tivities with characteristic freshman optimism, resulting from our recent conquest of our elementary school studies. After three months' vacation we returned to work again, not in the role of lowly freshmen, but as mighty sophomores-conquerors who had torn down the barriers of distinction and taken our place with the upper classmen of Morristown High School. Immediately after the elec- tion of officers we began to heap indignities upon our unfortunate successors, enjoying our newly acquired authority with immense satisfaction. At this stage of our career many of the more proficient members of our class excelled in athletics, which was the usual diversion from studies and was only surpassed by another form of mental relaxation, commonly known as cutting classes. September found us back at work again glorying in the title of junior, and suffering from an attack of in- flated cranium at the thought of reaching our destination, the senior class. We selected our class officers and rings, of which we were very proud. We advanced a step further in wisdom by selecting Mr. Flynn as class adviser. At last we arrived at the most glorious time in a junior's calendar, the long anticipated and planned-for Junior Prom. This will always be most precious in our
