NWILLIAM FLYNN i SENIIORS On a sunny September day four years ago, there came into being the embryo of what was to be the Mor- ristown High School Class of nineteen thirty-seven. Faced by the perennial freshman problem of adjusting our- selves to the new surroundings, we plunged into all ac- tivities with characteristic freshman optimism, resulting from our recent conquest of our elementary school studies. After three months' vacation we returned to work again, not in the role of lowly freshmen, but as mighty sophomores-conquerors who had torn down the barriers of distinction and taken our place with the upper classmen of Morristown High School. Immediately after the elec- tion of officers we began to heap indignities upon our unfortunate successors, enjoying our newly acquired authority with immense satisfaction. At this stage of our career many of the more proficient members of our class excelled in athletics, which was the usual diversion from studies and was only surpassed by another form of mental relaxation, commonly known as cutting classes. September found us back at work again glorying in the title of junior, and suffering from an attack of in- flated cranium at the thought of reaching our destination, the senior class. We selected our class officers and rings, of which we were very proud. We advanced a step further in wisdom by selecting Mr. Flynn as class adviser. At last we arrived at the most glorious time in a junior's calendar, the long anticipated and planned-for Junior Prom. This will always be most precious in our
