GORDON APPLIN Gordon is always in a good mood, proof: whenever you see him, he's smiling. What more could you ask of one whose main purpose has been to brighten up the school? ARLENE L. ARMSTRONG Arlene has become known as a swell pal, a good sport, and has proved to be a willing worker. Aviation being her hobby, perhaps some day she will be over us literally as well as figuratively. Student Council, Corresponding Sec. 4. Dramatic Club 3. Cobbonian Board 4. Class Sec. 4. Press Club, Vice4Pres. 3, Pres. 4. MARTHA CURTIS ATTRIDGE Mart Although Martha has only been with us for two years, in that short time she has made many friends and has proved a good addition to M. H. S. She is one of those valiant souls who came, saw, and con- quered Latin IV. And so, Ave atque vale. Student Council 3, 4. Service Club 4. Dramatic Club 4. Senior Play 4. RUTH AUSER Ruth's secret ambition is to be a psychiatrist, while her hobby is drawing. An astrologist is not required to visualize her triumph at Duke. LOUIS BABBITT Date Date could often be seen leaving school, coat in hand, this pursuit was his favorite recreation. To his friends, he was everything that could be desired as one, and as such we will remember him. ILDITH BACKSHALL 'lEdie It was Ediths talent in photography that made pos- sible the many pictures in this book. Though we have her pictures here and in the Broadcaster as constant reminders of Edie, without them she would still be remembered. Student Finance Board 4. Keepers of the Gates 4. Cobbonian Photographer 4. JACK BAKER Red In spite of his distinctive hair, Red is one of those more quiet and sincere students. He will be remem- bered for his outstanding t'butch, and for his quiet service to the school. Service Club 4, Library Assistant 2, 3, 4.

ANDREW BROWN ADAMS Andy Perhaps some day it will be written Lieut. Andrew Brown Adams or maybe even Admiral, for Andy is slated for the navy. Incidentally, his favorite sport is swimming. If efficiency and diligence count, Andy is as good as there already. HARRY IAMES ALLMAN t'Bud If it's hockey, basketball, or baseball, Bud is sure to be on hand. He has found all sports interesting and has participated well in them. But look outfhes from Taborl Student Finance Board 4. GORDON PERSHING ANANSON 'tGump 'iGump is another of those quiet students from that great metropolis of Stirling. His hobby is football, and his ambition, needless to say, is to be a millionaire. He will always be remembered for his amiability and good humor. Orchestra 2, 3, 4. Band 2, 3. ELIZABETH ANDERSON Betty Quiet and pretty, dainty and reservedf-fa perfect picture of Betty She should meet with deserved slice cess and happiness in the things to come. DOROTHY ANGERBAUER Dotty With a sunny and cheerful character, Dotty has made merrie the inhabitants of this school. So nature ally, the commercial department is justified in ranking her as one of its most cooperative and conscientious members. Student Council 4. Student Finance Board 4. Come mercial Club 4. Girls' Hi-Y 4. FANNIE A. ANTONACCIO If fortune will smile just or little, Fannie, by means of her art and commercial ability, will some day be pointed out as a great commercial artist who started her career at Morristown High School. Broadcaster 4. I. C. A. 2, 3, 4. G. A. C. 2, 3, 4. Spanish Club 4. Dramatic Club 2, 3, Baseball 2, Capt. 3, 4. Hockey 2, 3, 4. Basketball 2, 3, 4. Trac Hiking Club 4. EDITH APPIO Appie VVe wonder what would happen if 'lAppie were not intelligent-if she were not at all popularfif she were not an attractive girl-if she couldn't dance. All we can say isfit wouldnt be Appie. Student Finance Board 4. Keepers of the Gates 4.

HOWARD WOOSTER BALDWIN Woozy lf you were to ask any of his classmates what How- ard was best fitted for, he would reply immediately, Politics. lt is generally agreed that he can outfargue anybody, pro or con, on anything, so the game of politics looks like a cinch for Woozy. ELIAS BARNERT Ellis A distinct shock was felt throughout the senior class when it was learned that Ellis was leaving us for Florida. His pleasant disposition, however, is still felt, while his good-looking features remain with us in our yearbook. Dramatic Club 4. IEANNE BARRETT 'tRed , l'Barry Ieanne will unmistakably be remembered for her red hair. Since she moved last year, Red claims that her hangout is in the hills of Mt. Tabor. Good humor typi- fies this thoroughly friendly person. Girls' Athletic Club 3. ROSE ROBERTA BARRETT 'lFoozy Unfortunately for M. H. S., theres not a Foozy Barrett in every class. However, the class of '36 has been a whole lot peppier because of her, while her ex- ecutive ability, as well as her lively personality, has been a great asset. A Cappella Choir 2, 3, 4. Service Club 3, 4. Girls' Hi-Y, Vice-Pres. 3, Pres. 4. Broadcaster 3, 4. Dramatic Club 2, Vice-Pres. 3, Pres. 4. OLIVER ALFRED BARTON Buzzy Hes way up thar. Buzzy looks down on most of us, but it isn't on account of his exceptional mental ability, especially keen in chemistry. These talents are sure to carry him far. Boys' Hi-Y 3. GERTRUDE BENEVILLE Gert We didn't believe Boonton could possess anything so worthwhile until Gert was made known to us. Now we're grateful to this, our old rival, for the loan of an attractive, friendly young lady. MERRILL BERTHOLF 'tBert Merrill is another one of the Bertholfs, who are noted for their efficiency when doing a job. But he seems to find plenty of time to enjoy himself, as well. Worrying never did get anybody anywhere anyway. Pro-Peace Fellowship 4. French Club 3, 4. A Cap- pella Choir 2, 3, 4. g rn rilsgrkygiffiii l
