A COLLEGE GROVVS IN MORRISTOVV Dr. Hill came to Morristown and found a mission. He materialized it with an idea of a table. Dr. Hill sent out 2000 letters and telegrams to men of influence and position to aid him in securing pieces of wood to put in a table that would be built in the woodwork shop of his school. The table would then be placed on exhibit at the general confer- ence at Minneapolis in 1912. Pieces from China, Japan, Wesley's Pulpit, from every important mission station in the world and America bits of wood were obtained. He had the table constructed in the school shop alone with a gavel and a chair to be used by the Presiding-Bishops on the occasion of the opening of the conference. The table received so much publicity that it was later sold for Sl ,500.00. Years later the owner ofthe table passed away and the heirs decided to return the table to the college.
