Dr. Paul Schweifzer , ,MA COIWLQ 7 We refurned in Sepfember of '58, glorious seniors, wifh hopeful prospecfs of graduafio-n in June and greaf curiosify abouf our new principal, Dr. Schweifzer. Walking fhrough fhe corridors, one would see fhe consfanrl furning of heads and hear fhe whispered buzzes as fhe figure of fhe new principal passed. Thaf's him, fhe whispers echoed. However, if didn'f fake long for fhese caufious whispers fo change info friendly hello s. Wifhin a few shorf mo-nfhs he became so much a parf of Morris if seemed as if he had always been flhere. Yef while fhis genfle and kindly man wanfs nofhing beffer fhan fo puf everyone af ease and fo be faken for granfed, we Morrisifes who have come fo know him, recognize and appreciafe fhe rare kind of person he is. He is fhe very spirif of friendliness. His greefings always begin wifh a warm smile and end wifh words which linger in one'g memory. There are fwo major requiremenfs fo be fulfilled before an inferview wifh Dr. Schweifzer. One. is fhe appoinfmenf fo be made af YOUR convenience. The second is your parfaking of fhe cake or candy which he so genero-usly offers. lnformalify is fhe keynofe. Anofher unique qualify of Dr. Schweifzer is his abilify fo remember names. Somehow when a principal remembers your name you feel awfully imporfanf. Having seven children musf have helped Dr. Schweifzer develop +his fine abilify.
