vgvwvfv-av-u,.,....----,.,.. :- if' SOPIIOMURE CLASS NEWS In September, 1950, sxxry-five llpstlck 'md1ans entered the halls of Morris High. Mr. Schnars, the class advisor, gave us a hearty welcome. The darling Sophomores gave us an initiation party which we shall never forget. After we were better acquainted, we elected class officers. They were as follows, President-James Kardohelyg Vice-president-Ray Eyerlyg Treasurer-Nancy Carlesg and Agnes Moriarty-Secretary. We gave the Sophomores a return party and showed them a movie ln gratitude. We held a skating party which was a success and went on a trip to Pittsburgh. We visited the Hlenz Plant, the Museum and other places of interest. In the fall of 1951, only??? Sophomores returned. We started with a bang and really thought we knew something since we were Sophomores, and had agrand time initiating the Freshmen. We gave them an lnitlatlon party and they gave us a return party. We held elections on October 26, 1951, and elected the following officers: President-Rita Howe, Vlce-president-Bob Anderson, Treasurer-Nancy Carlesg and Agnes Moriarty as Secretary. Cheerleaders were out for re-election again and Faith Fetcenko won. She nas been doing a wonderful job so far. 5 Money was needed, so, we decided to sell sweatshirts, rulers, combs, auto- graph books and emblems. The student really went out of their way to get many sales and at last we boosted up our finances. Thus, ends our Sophomore year and we are looklng forward to next year when we will be Jolly Juniors .
