Dr. Charles C . Adams, pastor of the Hartford Memorial Baptist Church. Detroit, Michigan. delivers an electrifying sermon during the religious Emphasis Week observance. February 22-26. Adams, guest speaker for the occasion. is a noted lecturer and travels extensively to serve in this capacity on many university and college campuses. The observance of Religious Emphasis Week is a tradition at Morris College. It gives the college an opportunity to place special emphasis on worship and religious ideals as well as an opportunity to share in Christian fel-1 o w s h i p . Supplementing the daily-worship services are opportunities for fellowship and discussion.

MID-M WrER B0U 80fh Anniversary Morris College Morris College raised $60,000 at its Annual Mid-Winter Banquet Rally. The banquet, held February 26, is the college s second major fundraising affair. The total included contributions from churches and associations, businesses, corporations, alumni, faculty, staff and students. Money from the rally will go for general operations, campus improvements, and the Endowment Fund. During the banquet, guest speaker I)r. Benjamin F. Payton, President o fTuskegee University, was honored for his exemplary efforts to attain excellence in higher education. Approximately 800 persons listened as Payton spoke about challenges facing historically black colleges as they reach the 21st century. President Richardson expressed appreciation for the continued support from the constituents of the college.
