G2 G3 COLLEGE WORK STUDY: A VALUABLE RESOURCE Morris College feels that no needy student should be denied the opportunity of receiving a college education because of a lack of financial resources. In supporting this idea the college offers financial assistance to eligible students through various sources. The College Work-Study Program is one of several assistances available through Federal programs. Many eligible students take advantage of this opportunity to finance their education by working their way through school. College Work-Study offers the student unique experiences in the professional employment world. In addition to the College Work-Study Program, students may receive the Basic Educational Opportunity Grant (BEOG). Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG). and South Carolina Tuition Grants as well as college scholarships. It provides a meeting ground for Black executives. Black colleges and their students within the credit-bearing educational environment. With the establishment of this informational network, other significant benefits are derived from these creative. corporate-Black student partnerships: 1) realistic occupational preparation and 2) role model inspiration. Thus. BEEP'S main objectives are to (a) augment the curricula at Black colleges and universities with more in-dustry government related courses; (b) supplement faculty resources with executives from business, industry and governmental agencies; (c) provide students with identifiable role models; (d) enlighten students and faculty about job opportunities as well as current and future business pat- terns and procedures; and (e) establish and develop new avenues for financial assistance, educational programs, and manpower resources for participation of colleges. Many of these program members, along with Tuskegee. Alabama's Mayor Johnny Ford, highlighted Morris College's first Annual Business Conference.
