Girls’ Basketball Row 1- K.Kokell, L.Helchowski. Row 2- C.Bingham, A.Kinney, J. Weidman. Row 3- Y.Page, B.Quinton, R.Elliott, P.Birdsall. Row 4- K.Forgit, C.Forgit, The girls' basketball team, coached by Joan Martin, finished the Tri-Valley season by beating Cherry Valley 41-1+2 in the Tri-Valley championship game. The win lengthened their winning streak to 59 consecutive wins and six straight league championships. The girls came in second place in the Oxford Tournament after barely getting edged out by the host team Oxford in a close game of 32-30. Martha, Peggy and Carolyn were named to the all-star team and Brenda was the tournament's M.V.P. Two of the members of the team were chosen as the Daily Star's Athlete of the Week. They were Brenda and Martha. Martha was also chosen as athlete of the month. See the ball! Serve Set Spike The Morris Varsity and J.V. volleyball teams both won the championship for the 1980-81 sea- son. Each team only suffered one loss.
