Homecoming This year's Homecoming was a well planned and successful event. It all began on Wednesday, October 1st, which was Get Excited Day! Everyone participated by signing their names to a poster to show their snirit. This was followed with a Burn 'Em Up Day and 'Legal1 Hat Day. On Friday a luncheon was held for all sports players. It was also Good Luck Day and we showed it by hanging a big horseshoe poster and putting the players' names on it. We had plenty of activities going on through out the week. Friday night at the pep rally there were lots of students and narents who participated to show their support. Then Saturday came rolling in and everybody was fired up to go! The game started off great and although the Mustangs fell behind they still fought for everything they had until the end which proved they didn't give up easily. After the game all sports players and parents were invited to a banquet held by the cheerleaders at Mrs. Boggs' house. Saturday night there was a dance which was fun for all. The cheerleaders did a great job of planning Homecoming 1980. To show our appreciation, the players and cheerleaders would like to thank all participants. Brenda Benjamin, 1980 Homecoming Queen. Mr. Naples announces the 1980 Homecoming Queen. Gina Bryant 1st runner up. 8
