LOOK AND LEARN!! ANYHMES MILLER TIME!! GLASS HISTORY We started kindergarten with Mrs. Van Buren in September of 1965. Though we dreaded the naps that we had to take for a few minutes each day, we still wished we could be in school all day. (Little did we know.' ) The highlight of first grade was the milk and cookie break. In second grade, we were big business tycoons with all the money we made at the Treat Shop. Those of us who had Mrs. Milliken were sure to have a clean desk on Fridays because we were rewarded with a candy bar. (We won't talk about the rest of the week.) In fourth grade, the boys in our class started showing what they have always been known for -- their ability to compete and come out on top. They took on the fifth and sixth graders in King of the Hill. While in fifth and sixth grades, we started an original dance and the looks to complement it -- The Bubble Face and The Bubble Face Jig.' The Safety Patrol went on their trip to Washington.which turned out to be.... educational (?). We also acquired Deb Linton, Margaret Yodice and Teresa Kolvik. We finally made the big time and were upstairs with all the older kids . Chuck Page and Denise Rozelle joined our class and added a little excitement. (Very little Ha Ha) Some of the girls in our class were never meant to be Suzie Homemakers because making toast and pouring grane juice proved to be too hard for Deb, Bren and Marie. In ninth grade, Dave Stachina and Mary Helen joined our class, each with their own talents. The sophomore year proved to be very different with the ar- rival of a new principal. We had to learn what disciplinary action was and also how to live life in Morris by the book. We as juniors produced two of the best films ever created. They will go down in history. In our very first Chemistry Lab, Julie Jones gave Mr. Gregory a taste of what was to come with the explosion. Last, but not least, we moved into this, our final year at M.C.S., as a group wearing the T-shirts that the rest of the school associates with us. They didn't go over too big. Our Senior Play was very successful, although a few people made an art out of carving and writing their names in the walls. Vicky Smith came back to Morris after a year in Sweden and became an added attraction to our class. One of the big highlights was a second undefeated season for the football team -- another sign of our competitive nature. e n t h G r a d e KNEETJDJ3: K. Sco, Novak, B. Shelley, J. Jones, C. Potter is a good, description for the 1977 âlorris Mistam Football Squad, as they romped through the Tri-Valiev League with another undefeated season, B-0, makina than 17-0 for the last two seasons. Put that's not all- Morris was ranked as the 2nd best team in the entire state. There wall be 3 seniors missing next vear: Dave Tie Pird Birdsall, an elegant and graceful, but tough olayer; Bon Pasternak, an out- standing offensive nlaver as well as defensive; âlike Tracy, with his afoilitv to both run and mass with the ball t did a ton-notch job as a quarterback. Dave Stachina and Steve âleva]; were strong âxdnts in our defensive team, known for tearing through the line and sacking the opposing cuarterback. Although these outstanding nlavers wall lie aone, the Mustang's future is far from dim. 'Returning to the line-up next year are many talented juniors and soohomores, including Pill Canfield, Andy Guiterres, Joe Benjamin, Meil Halbert, Mike Chase and Brian Bourgeois, among others who are fired up and ready to go! to win their 3rd season of Tri-Valley Charms. The Mustang girls once acrain captured 2nd place in the Tri-Valley League. The team battled through with togetherness, courage, laughter, disappointment and style. No other team could be so sweet but dev- astating at the same time. Next year's line-up is looking very good, but will miss all-stars Megan Smith, Ruth Martin, and Deb Linton, along with all the other experienced seniors such as Marie Akulonis, Janet Boyd, Tina Smith, Brenda Bourgeois Vicki Smith, Theresa Kolvik. Returning members will be Elisse Walling, Brenda Benjamin, Cheryl-Royce and many others. We wish them the best of everything. VICKI MEGAN JANET BRENDA TINA DEB MARIE TERESA CINDY VARSITY VOLLEYBALL This year's Volleyball team played with un- certainty and disappointment.
