And I sure was lucky to come to Morris Central School. I wouldn't have liked to trade with any other exchange student. I want to thank everybody for making this year such a wonderful experience for me; all the members of the faculty and the staff, and every single student. It has been the greatest year of my life and I'll never, never forget the way I have been received here. I hope that everybody who comes to Europe, will come to the Netherlands and visit me. I'd like that so very much! I can promise you a very nice time too, because my country really is wonderful, and there are lots of nice things to see. You might like to hold your finger in the dike in our back- yard, or skate between the windmills on wooden shoes and silver skates. Seriously, The Netherlands is very worthwhile to visit, so please if you have the chance, do! I am going to miss the school and you all terribly but I am determined to come back as soon as I can, and then I hope to see you all again. So I won't say Vaarwel , but Tot Ziens”. Despite key injuries all season long, the boys compiled a record of 6 wins and 1 loss. The loss of Doug George, and Dick Ryther in the Edmeston game, and Mike Collier in the South New Berlin game was a serious blow to the overall depth. With the loss of Dick and Mike for the season, and Doug for two games, the Mustangs had to play outstanding football to ward off defeat. All told, we had a colorful, hard hitting, and hustling football team in '65. The outlook for next year is bright, because of the return of so many experienced players. How- ever, Seniors John Pegg, Doug George, Bob Hoffman, and Del Hoag will be missed next year. John Pegg, Ken Stone, Bill Pickens, Fred Grenz, Bob Hoffman, Dick Ryther, and Doug George earned recognition this year with berths on the Tri-Valley All Star Team. The team has won the Runner Up trophy in the Christmas tournament for the third consecutive year. Dick Ryther leads in scoring with 302 points. Bill Pickens leads in rebounding with 127 rebounds in 14 games. Ryther was selected as a member of the 1965-66 Tri Valley East All-Star team. Ken Stone was selected as a member of the second team All-Starts. One of the high points of the season was a 106 to 73 win over New Berlin. The Mustangs broke the team scoring record with the 106 points and Dick Ryther broke the individual scoring record with 47 points. The fast breaking, high scoring, Mustangs were an exciting team to watch. The return of 6 Varsity players, gives a promising outlook for the 1966-67 season.
