That year we lost no members, but did gain two, fM1nnie Richards and William Andres. Twenty-two proud, sophisticated ' Seniors took their places in room 25, sSeptember,l94l. Immedbately a class meeting was held to elect officers for the year. The victors were as follows: David Carr, Pres1dentg ewillard Tremlett, Vice Presidentg Erna Laubmeier, Treas- urerg and Ethel Miller, Secretary. r Enthusias- tically we set about to add to our funds. -Then came the War and our hopes for the trip we had expected were dashed against the rocks. Wash- ington had driven out all tourists and un- necessary people, New York was rapidly becoming over-crowded, and the hope of going to Detroit was fruitless. Reluctantly we abandoned hope for a trip. Then came a ray of light--why couldn't we visit some places of interest near here? l g Easter came and we went! Howe Caverns, Schoharie, Albany, Saratoga and other places. We visited places of interest some of which many NStarks Knobu, the people don't know exist, only volcano in this part of the country and Nlndian Laddern in Thatcher Park. We accomp- lished the primary purpose of a Senior Trip, we learned a great deal, and still we were pat- riotic! We didn't go where we weren't wanted, we didn't waste gasoline or rubber but we did have a lot of fun. ' During the year Wwe have had two additions to our class. Rosalyn Levene and Whitney Shaver have joined us for their final yeary ln. school. Stanley Danielson has left us to join the Marine Corps. Throughout our entire high-school career our class has been excellentlyt represented in all sports and other activities. This year four of the first team .in Varsity Basketball were Seniors. ,A . g '- ' 'l' . iii! 'H . - Stes J Q

The television set now picks up chief pilot Howard Caldera of the naval air force talking with his two mechanics .Dwight Littlewood and James Stafford concerninf the day's flight, The scientist's eye is caught by a flashing sign which announces the personal appearance of Donald Kiel with his famous Nswinging trumpetu accompanied by Stanley Danielson and his Using- ing violin. The two scientists notice that the fleet's in as they focus the machine to port. They recog nize two nurses as Ethel Miller and Doris South- ern. Look who's there to meet them,Willard Trem- lett, a graduate fror.Test Point. ' Again they focus their machine on Morris where many more of the Class of '42 are located. First, they see Erna Laubmeier, a private secre tary to William Barton of the Barton Tractor Company, explaining to lr. Howard Wright,a prom- inent farmer in the district the details of the cost and operation of the Barton Tractor. Passing into the country regions Mr. Andres notices Minnie Richards, an army nurse home on leave and Pauline Pegg,a teacher in an adjoin ing school, talking furiously about the happen- ings during their school days. ' At this point the scientist leaves the Class of '42 by turning the switch, and with a light heart goes to lunch.
