Senior Pla When Bonnie and Flo arrive at Black Oaks for the reading of Uncle Algernon's will they find Rust and Hank, who had sought refuge there,-just leaving, for they have been attacked by the men- tally unbalanced son of the housekeeper. But Rusty' s first glance at Bonnie makes him hesitate, and his second makes him decide to stay awnilef The family arrives. Arrogant Aunt Clarissa is certain she'll be the sole heir. She sneers at the ','faithful housekeeper...she'll soon be on her wayf As for her nieces-they'll soon learn who's bossf The group is startled to learn that cousin Ted, convicted murderer of the uncle, has escaped from the penitentiary. Bonnie is glad, for she has always believed in his innocence. But Ted's sister, Mildred, is terrified, for it was her testimony-that she saw Ted commit the murder that led to his conviction. ln the swift action that follows, Clarissa is murdered and Bonnie becomes sole heir. Putting aside her fear that she will be the next victim, she and Flo aid Ted in his scheme to get the truth out of his sister. lt is doubly bitter that in their moment of success, Ted and Bonnie face the pistol of the killerf But Rusty-- never far from Bonnie--is at hand this time too! lt's a fast-paced play striking a shrewd balance between chills and laughter, romance and terror.
