Supzrintmdcnt Superintendent Ewing started his college career at a church school called Tarkio College in Missouri, where he received his A. B. degree in Economics. He received his Master of Science degree in Business Ad- ministration training in Boulder, Colo. Mr. Ewing's school administration training was at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Mr. Ewing is now attending summer sessions at Denver University in Denver, Colo. working towards a 'Doctorate . Mr. Ewing taught Business Education as well as being the athletic coach in all sports at Tribune, Kansas. Mr. Ewing also coached one year at Dighton, Kansas. Mr. Ewing was with Trans World Airlines in Kansas City, Missouri five years working in the Personnel Department as Employer Relations Coordinator for the western division. He was superintendent of schools at Cooper, Car- son, Fonda, and Tabor, Iowa. He was also superin- tendent of Schools at Community Unit if-'115 at Oquawka, Ill. for two years, before coming to Morning Sun. Superintendent Ewing 's philosophy, 'Individual In- struction in accordance with Individual Ability, is re- flected in his administration wherever he has been. .Administ ration Principal Mr. Wayne D. Allen has served as principal of the Morning Sun High School since 1965, previously, from 1929 to 1947. Mr. Allen received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1924 from the University of Iowa. He later did grad- uate work at the University of Iowa and Iowa Wesleyan. Mr. Allen taught at Wayland from 1924 to 1929 be- fore he came to Morning Sun. He was superintendent of the Morning Sun School from 1929 to 1947. He was editor of the Morning Sun News Herald before he re- tumed to Morning Sun to be principal. Mr. Allen teaches physics and is also the Senior Class sponsor. Mr. Allen deserves many thanks for his very help- ful guidance and counseling from the class of '69.

School Heard tertiary Mrs. Smith was busy this year trying to balance the senior class treasury, typing the Announcements, selling paper and pencils, and reminding people to pay their bills. Mrs. Smith is one of the people who keeps Morning Sun School an orderly and balanced institution. chan! Nurse V Mrs. Gerrie Wolfe was busy this year trying to keep 325 students healthy. She encountered broken bones, cuts, stomach aches, sore throats, acid burns, and that old headache ex- cuse.
