S , ui rx My The school spirit which had been building up the entire Homecoming week finally exploded on Thursday and Friday nights. Thursday night all of the students, football boys, and faculty met at the school for one of the wildest snake dances ever.' The senior football players and Coach Darrah all gave speeches on the game. This year a New London football dummy was thrown into the huge bonfire. ' Al Sellers, presidentof the Student Council, crowned Karen McDonald Homecoming Queen of l967. Margaret McClure attendants. Mark Minnis, Bruce Stotlar, and The crow ing of the Queen took place at 2:00 High School Gym. The M.S. Tigers defeated the New London 26. This year the M.S. Marching Band and the New London Marching Band performed at half time. The float prize were as follows, UGreen Hornetu, first place. Sophomore. HRun. Buddv. Runn. second place. Freshman, fBury 'em Under Our Green Acresn, third place, Juniors, and HI Dream of Victoryn, fourth place, Seniors. The Homecoming Dance, which was sponsored by the 5eniors, was hekd ih the High School. The New Castle 4 provided the music, This year the Seniors sold white mums, which are to be the traditional Homecoming flower from now on.
