PROMETHEAN 1973 MORGAN STATE COLLEGE Baltimore, Maryland To choose the right from wrong To smoke, to learn, to joke, to burn The Choice — Dope, Marijuana, Blow Your Mind Whose Mind, Your Mind Brother Not Mine — The Choice Fight my Brother. Love the enemy? Kiss my Brother. Piss the enemy? My Choice Stand Together juntos” to unify Split then brother and Die! Your Choice Not to Decide Is to Decide!!! 4 7 Is there a choice? If there is a choice, whose choice is it? Is it really ours? We must make that choice ours! What choice is this? The choice is whether or not there is an insurance of our continued existence on this earth. We must make this choice ours. True, it is not our choice now. for we are deal inn with a force whose power is unimaginably great. But it could be. The forces that we face arc intrinsic and extrinsic. We’re killing ourselves and we’re being killed by them! 6 What is our first step in combatting this terror? Unity! That is our first and maybe our most important step. We can accomplish nothing until we first stand together as one people. Historically, it has been proven that a united minority is more effective and powerful than a disunited majority. 9 ill a i a gRorcsT Xftujy- tTo’iiO os iO DUE. eoTCST f £,A l OST 'T l£ D'z3£V rAL- ClU-lOCS KT- so neeo j o6 '«t bOC.e L.0l 'AOA Y rns oiovo - Aioo Btc 7 00 a -- 3. 00 • ’ 'r A.oe : oe. Let another world be born. Let a bloody peace be written in the sky. Let a second generation full of courage issue forth; let a people loving freedom come to growth. Let a beauty full of healing and a strength of final clenching be the pulsing in our spirits and our blood. Let the martial songs be written, let the dirges disappear. Everybody’s always talking about the way it used to be, how it was then. and how it rained that weary day. Whatever happened to now? Doesn't anybody sec my face? I’m real. I’m here, I live today. Tomorrow I might die. Who the hell cares if I cry — tears? Is the tombstone the place that carries my name? Will anybody remember me when it is the end? the end, the end, the end — of what? It was tiie end of me the day I did begin. by Andrea Bullcn 208 209 210 Front: H. Miller. 1st Row, Left to Right: Ronald Bethea. Lonnie Fisher. Jimmy Lewis. Robert Hill. Larry Johnson. It could be that one element which holds us back or that element which pushes us into the better; greater life. But, a choice is also necessary in educa- tion. We must choose our EDUCATION WITH DIRECTION, proper direction. Where, how, and by whom we get educated is a most important choice. Miseducation, or education for all the wrong reasons, under the wrong conditions can be just as harmful as no education at all. Our choice after being educated is how we use our education. Will we use it as a means of acquiring unnecessary personal possessions and furthering Tittle individual advancement?
