Each trustee plays a strikingly vital role in the formation of college policy and in the upholding of the ideals promulgated by the college founders. The college has been and will be in the years to come highlighted by its perpetual growth and rapid adjustments. The Board will, as it has so effectively done in the past, recognize difficult situations and exert its finest concerted effort in making solutions. It also meets to fulfill duties such as determining the annual college budget —which is done at the spring meeting. The decisions made by the trustees and the subsequent action taken are significant in the formulation and constancy of the reputation of the college. v' Because the PROMETHEAN represents the combined efforts of many of the students who were acquainted with Dr. Thelma V. Winder either academically or personally, this tribute is a tangible expression of our sincere feeling of loss of the noble woman who served as Associate Professor of Home Economics and Head of the Department. Dr. Winder's experienced and invaluable contributions to the Morgan State College Community and to those students whom she taught will never be obliterated. It is with much gratitude and pride that we reflect upon her bright life, her ready word of encouragement, and most of all her untiring service to us.
