To the Groduoting Seniors of 1961, the student body through its voice the Student Government brings you greetings: As you stand at this important milestone, the event of your gradua- tion day, we wish that you would pause for a moment to look backward and forward. We wish that that look would be prideful as you consider what you see in light of your reflections and impressions of past events, and optimistic as you look into the future to view those challenges which stand ahead making this moment your prelude to glory. Those challenges, of course, are not free from anxiety. Until now, you have been college students rather separated from struggling humanity After four yeors of classes in Holmes Hall, the Science Quadrangle or per- hape late hours spent in study at Soper Library, it is presumed that you are able, now, to accept those challenges which will include economic uncertainties, the threot of communism, and the demands for equal op- portunities. It becomes, therefore, your task to glorify Morgan and to meet all challenges by making the world conscious of your presence. Though the going may be rough, and the world may not alwoys be so receptive to your ambitions, never cease in striving to reach your goal.
