Impressions .7 Ant..- -....-.u- Bound to that jogged rock, suffering the tallows end heck of the vulture, Prometheus did not bend nor once repent his gift of light to man that his wretched being might gain understanding and rise to the heights of near godliness. Inherent in the tale of this most august citizen of Olympus tare the foundations of the Promethean Tradition of Morgan: the challenge to stand up and be counted, the commission of the second mile, the awesome call to achievement, and most evident of all, the Morgan pledge to keep the light of understanding burning that darkness may never overtake our striving for a better tomorrow. It is in the spirit of the Promethean Tradition that we, the class of 1961, have chosen as our theme: Reflections . . . lran-essions . . . Prelude to Glory For four years, the class of 1961 has lived and worked under the influence of the Promethean Tre- dition. Consciously end uncomeiously, we have been conditioned to respond to its incessant end insatiable demands. We have been manipulated and molded by it, end we have become the personification of its restless syirit. No longer can we close our eyes to ignorance; no longer can we wink at laxity; no longer do we accept mediocrity; and no longer can our ears be deaf to the cell for courageous striving. As we prepare now to take this step forward, this momentous occasion makes us pause for thought and reflection. What has been the meaning of Fair , Morgan to each of us these past tour vets?
