Tom's friendly spirit and modest manner make him friends galore, while his distinctive way of saying Animal Crackers made him a hit at the annual Minstrel Show. If it were not for an unfortunate broken wrist, Mac', would have had a chance to make an even better showing than he did in football. As it was, he acted as a mainstay for Major Bouma's track team, but another injuryffor- tunately later in the seasonekept him out of parts of several of the basketball games.
