Treasurer Hold Tight They Say as the Cgndld Activities of the Drama Club began with the formation of the dramatic league. Simi- lar drama organizations of several Iunior Colleges met together to discuss their va- rious problems. ln February, our club pre- sented a one-act play, Who Gets the Car Tonight. Another dramatic performance was given in the spring semester:- Frank and Ernaf' With student interest sufficiently aroused by these two presentations, the club hopes to give a three-act play next year. lf32l camera addicts train their F45 on you and record you permanently on Super Pan. lt's just the shutterbugs ' Way of carrying 'through their hobby of catching you with your hair down. The Camera Club offers its members a chance to develop their ar- tistic bent at little expense. ln addition to interesting meetings presenting lectures and motion pictures on various aspects of pho- tography, the club has conducted several tours.

This may not make a difficult math prob- lem, but the members of the Math Club did encounter some tough ones. These prob- lems were solved at the meetings of the club for intellectual refreshment. Talks by students were given on lives of great mathematicians. Astronomy was the subject of Mr. Bergen's lecture at one of the meet- ings. With Mrs. Orr supervising Weekly meetings, the club has devoted most of the year to first aid lessons. The members plan to purchase a first aid kit which will be for the benefit of the entire school. Highlights of the club's activities were the several trips taken. These included tours through the Billings, Veter- ans' and Cook County Hospitals.

But, l'm sure l'm a tenor! . . . Can't we try swing? . . . Sopranos are too loud . . . I can't hear the others . . . Say, what part are you singing? . . . Please, get together! So went the meet- ing oi the Glee Club, held weekly in room ll, under the direction ot Mrs. Kurz. The Glee Club's big event during the past year was at Christmas time. With the student body, in the library, the Chorus sang Christ- mas Carols. The orchestra Was organized last October and rehearsed one evening a Week during the fall semester under the direction of Lt. Orr. Some of the members had had valua- ble musical experience beiore entering Mor- gan Park. Arthur Srnyly, Betty Stober, and Charles Watkins are members ot the Bev- erly Symphony Orchestra. Roy Buell has Won musical distinction in both city and state-Wide contests. It is very probable that the musical interest of alumni and students will produce an excellent orchestra at M.P.I.C. t33l
