Most ot us will agree with that statement, especially it We incorporate emotions as an element ot thinking - a combination that estab- lishes an attitude which controls the manner in which we view our responsie bilities and privileges. The good spirit ot one school and the poor spirit ot another originate in the thinking ot all those Who compose the school W- not only students, teachers, principal, but also the citizens of the community. Each individual, in his dealing with others, experiences emotional or intellectual reactions, and the kind and quality ot these reactions are deter- mined in large measure by the manner with which others treat him. lt each person is fair in his treatment ot others, he will show that respect tor the dignity and Worth ot the individual which is the basis tor mutual understanding. lt is this understanding which is the toundation upon which good spirit rests. 410i Meet Mr. G. G. Lorentz, the man who's helped to make Morgan Park the great school that it is today. A more just and understanding person than Cap , as he is fondly known to Empehi students and faculty, would be hard to find. Although f'Cap is always ready to pull a stunt on someone else, he's twice as ready to laugh if the joke's on himself. His ready wit and great abilities as a magician have added many hours of enjoyment to Empehites and when it comes to school spirit he's number one man. The Public Relations committee owes a great deal of what it has accom- plished this semester to HCap's drive and stirring enthusiasm. Hes always the advocator of the impossible and to the amazement of all manages to see that its accomplished. Our gratitude goes to Mr. Lorentz for the extra time he has cheerfully given each one of us and for his spirit, friendship and guidance which have influenced us more than we shall ever realize as we prepare to leave Morgan Park's portals and ascend the ladder of the future.
