1943 JUNE CLASS OFFICERS The Iune Class was wise indeed when it elected Bob Fall, president, Marjorie Blakslee, vice-president: Lorraine McClel- land, secretary, and Arthur Keyes, treas- urer of their graduating class. Morgan Park appreciates the students and con- tributions of the Iune 1943 class, for they have been great Empehites. Marjorie Blakslee attended to the senior banquet, and did an excellent job. The chairmanship of the commencement committee was given to Ray Iones, who really made a success of the graduation program. Mary Moore took charge of the gift committee, making the presentation of a S50 cello. The senior officers chose Don Greene to complete the details of the Cap and Gown measurements, and Ruth Nie- bauer saw to it that announcements were distributed. The senior class play, a timely comedy, was under the chairmanship of Walter Berg. Ioyce Faragher had charge of the ring committee, and in spite of war time restrictions on rings, she saw her job through. Mrs. Dorothy H. Cella was sponsor of the class and gained the ap- proval of every senior by giving help and advice on many matters. Leaving Morgan Park for good, the class of Iune '43 ventures out to face the world with confidence. Sorrow at parting only magnifies the pride the Iune class has in Ernpehi, and the pride Ernpehi has in the lune class. On the night of gradua- tion, the seniors were able to say only- Thanks, for four swell years. IUNE WHO'S WHO A girl such as Fern Larson is a hard one to find. Combining executive ability and fine scholarship Fern has held the highest position in the school-that of president of the Student Association-and has also maintained an excellent scholastic record. Along with this Fern's charming person- ality and friendliness has made her the most popular girl in her class. With name Ray lones is associated foot- ball in all its glory. Ray was captain of last year's team and during his four years at Morgan Park has earned much fame by his football prowess. Not resting on these laurels alone Ray has also been president of the A.Y.L. this last semester and was chosen most popular boy of his class. We wish much luck to this future Marine. Pert, smiling Marge Blakslee holds the titles of president of Tau Epsilon, chairman of the Clean-Up committee, and vice-presi- dent of the Iune 4A class. To this enviable record can be added her fine scholarship and high standing in the eyes of her fellow classmates. Empehi can be proud of a girl like Marge. Ioe Heidecker is one of those lads who seems to be able to do everything. loe's fine ability as a leader earned him the office of first vice-president of the S.A. and has also been rewarded by numerous of- fices which he has held in clubs and the school's R.O.T.C.
