une enior Cfarizi O icem . . . OLSEN DASHER SHEVLIN PRUTER Page 30 The many activities that preceded graduation were headed by Ralph Ol- sen, president: Mary Emily Dasher, vice-president, Shirley Shevlin, secre- tary: and Walter Pruter, treasurer. The lune Class of 1942 will long be remem- bered at Empehi because of its liberal ideas in student government and its many outstanding students. The annual senior banquet that everyone looks forward to was ar- ranged by Mary Emily Dasher. lt was a huge success. The all important job as chairman of the committee for com- mencement was given to lim Love, who arranged all of the details of the program, including the decorations and the diplomas. The Gift Committee was under the able direction of Dave Katz- mann. The seniors dropped their dig- nified cloaks long enough to present the senior play, directed by Bob Sabel, with help from the senior class. The story took place in a radio station and was one of the most amusing ones ever to be given. Dorothy May had complete charge of the caps and gowns. The Corn- mittee that selected and distributed the announcements was under the super- vision of Betty Champion. ln bidding a sad farewell, two hun- dred and forty seniors will look hope- fully into the future, not knowing what to expect but always knowing that they have spent four useful and enjoyable years at Empehi.
