380,64 ! One of the main ideas of modern edu- cation is the relationship between the students and their faculty. The Morgan Park teachers not only excel in teach- ing, but also in advising the students. All the members of the faculty are well liked by the students because of their outstanding personalities and Wonder- ful understanding of high school stu- dent's problems and activities. Because of relationships such as these, Empehites feel perfectly at ease in asking their Faculty members to give up their time to sponsor dances, clubs, and other ex- tra curricular activities. Morgan Park has one of the largest programs of this kind for a school of its size. The enthusiasm of our club spon- sors encourages us to yearly make our organizations more outstanding. The teachers also aid students who are go- ing to college in deciding what schools best suit their individual abilities. Empehi's Placement Council helps graduates secure good positions after finishing their high school career. lt also gives students needed advice and helpful suggestions concerning the best way to apply for a job, and other needed requirements in facing one's business career. lt aids the student who has a job after school by getting him a program to fit in with his Work. The Ad- justment Department, which seeks to smooth over difficulties and to help the students in their school work, has been greatly enlarged because of a demand for such a department. MISS HOYLER MRS. CELLA DOC. WATSON The vocational guidance service for the Iuniors and Seniors: a branch of the National Youth League, which finds jobs for needy students: and the Parent- Teacher Association promotes co-opera- tion between the home and school by bringing the parents and teachers closer together, and in this Way they solve many of their local problems. They are all a regular part of the Morgan Park program. Page 15
