FEBRUARY CFFICEBS Dick McCornack .........................,......,....... President Winnie Stevens ..,.... ....,.... V ice-President lane Caldwall ........ ........... S ecretary Bill Freeman ......,.. ...,..., T reasurer mpehi has seen many seniors, individually and col- lectively, rise to excel in leadership those preceding them, but the Feb- ruary class of 1937 had an extra fine foursome as its officers. Dick McCornaclc ably and efficiently performed the duties of president of the class assisted by the vice-president, Winnie Stevens. Winnie was chairman of the Social Committee. lane Caldwell recorded the minutes of each class meeting, carried on class correspondence, and in many other ways proved her worth as class secretary. The budget was bai- anced by Bill Freeman, class treasurer, who handled all the funds. The February class set a precedent which will undoubtedly be followed by other graduating classes in the years to corne. This was the wearing of caps and gowns at the commencement exercises. The class presented a most democratic and uniform appearance to parents and friends. The Senior Prom was again held in the main ballroom of the Lake Shore Athletic Club and, as at the '36 Prom, Emil Flindt's band played the music. The same plan was followed as in l936, bids being sold before the place and orchestra were definitely settled upon. Dorothy Davies of the February class and Dave Goldsmith of the lune class were in charge of arrangements. f16l
