Page Noah Webster. G. B., L.A., D. L., G. D., M. B. '105. Qlhrnnirals nf the Qllass nf 1921 Scene: Under the spreading chestnut tree, dreaming the day before Graduation. Cast: Any senior. VVell, tomorrow my High School days pass into history and Oh! Boy, talk about the Grand and Glorious Feeling 5 but, then, I wouldn't have missed the last four years for anything. What! four years since I entered High School. Doesn't seem that long since those crazy old, would-be dignified Scniors sent me into 104 after the left-handed monkey wrench and the pistol report but I better look out, I wouldn't be surprised but that I might be throwing a boomerang. I wonder how many Rhinies I've sent into the office after the round square or made to push a pencil down the gym' fioor. CDon't ask any embarrassing ques- tions,I'm not telling anythingj Wasn't school a long time getting started that year though, it must have been three weeks before we had regular periods. Wish that policy would continue but hopes are gone now that they have got the Standard Program fixed up. With those three weeks gone out of the year it didn't take long for the whole semester to go and before we knew it we were all thrown into the hubbub that we went through the first couple of weeks of High School refixing our programs. tThe Standard wasn't out yetj. By the time we got these programs fixed up we were pretty will used to program card ways and now we hardly give programs a sec- ond thought, tthat is, if our programs are regularj. After a few months under the new routine we found that the High Schools had the same funny habit as the Grammar Schools of giving us a semi-graduation that is a graduation for two months. I VVhen we went back in the fall we were perfectly willing to pass on our green- ness to the latest young hopefuls and glad of a chance to do some kidding in- stead of taking it all. It wasn't long before all the talk was about that great never-to-be-forgotten day of the Autumn Frolic. Nothing like it before or since. Wonder if Deweyewill ever hear the last of his statement to the Japanese Doll, I wish I could have you for my very own. ' . I Talk about your College Circuses and Class Days, etc., if you ever find one to beat the Autumn Frolic of 1918 please let me know. Did we have a circus? W'ell I guess. I didn't know there were so manytpoor CH misformed creatures in Morgan Park. We began to wonder if Morgan Park High School ought not do something to help out these unfortunates until we saw the three-armed lady take off the third arm and the two-headed lady take oii' a head and the Siamese twins split and walk otT and then we realized that after all charity begins at home and that we had better use our charity toward helping the candy stand sell out so off we went and sorry to say the candy slowly QU disappeared. - Of course. as Sophomores we were interested in our own productions, the Doll show and 'the Puppet show. If any girl ever wants any sort of a doll just go to Dorothy Primm and she will give you anything from a rag doll to a Parisian Vamp. That puppet show went off fine and say, George, you were some ventriloquist. b 21
