L I When Mick came to Morgan thirty years ago the building that stood before him was quifte a structure in comparison to the 16x20 frame building that had been Morgans first school ln 1882 How ever the comparison IS not any greater than the one between the school which stood when Mick came to Morgan and the one now known as the Morgan Pub hc school In 1893 the first four room brick building was erected This is the south half of the old building and is pictured at the right. A high school was added to the first elzht grades in 1895 Its first graduating class had seven members The greatest single step to modernize the school while Mick was here was the erection of the modern addition in 1939 This greatly increased the size of the plant and facilitated the addition of typing and industrial arts courses a new modern gymnasium a more adequate office and a convenient bell system It also proiided much more work for Mick in .2 To Mick Ward and his wife, who have been tireless in their efforts to maintain our fine school, we dedicate this 1947-48 edition of the Morgan High School Annual.
