VHS BAND MARCHES ON New activities were added to the Versailles Marching Band schedule as Miss Debbie Jackson continues to work to develop a strong march- ing band program. The Flag Corps was one such addition formed to march with the band. The band marched in several parades including the Apple Festi- val, CMSU Homecoming, Versailles Homecoming, and Halloween parades. They also played at all home football games and the play- offs at Osage. Another important part of the year was going to the Tri-County and District music contests. Two soloists did well at these contests Sherri Yoder got a I- rating at Tri- County and a I at District with her saxaphone solo. Johnna Yeokum re- ceived a I rating for her flute solo. Other events included playing at the Cavalcade of Bands and graduation. Karen Bowman leads the parade for the Tigers.
