School board and parents. Administrators and teachers. Custodians and cooks. Secretaries and bus drivers. All of these people are contributors to the qualities which charac- terize a school. A tremendous amount of effort is put forth by many people to make a school system work, but THE BOTTOM LINE is the STUDENT BODY. The students and the memories which they create are the most important features in making a number one school. Versailles High School was a first class school in many ways. Cheerleaders, drill teamers, athletes, club members, concert choir singers, and band members were THE BOT- TOM LINE for all activities in 1983-84. Cheerleaders and drill teamers strived to build spirit. They worked hard for success for both themselves and their teams. Athletes worked hard toward set goals in their particular sport. Football, volleyball, girls and boys basket- ball, wrestling, golf and track showed that dedication is THE BOTTOM LINE in sports. Clubs created involvement for many, through various activities. Concert Choir was again top rate and the band improved under a new director. Aside from all of the activities each individual contributed something. Answering a question in class, lending a hand to a friend, or just giving someone a friendly smile is beneficial. It makes a person and the people around him feel they have accomplished something. Each and every student added something to VHS. THE BOTTOM LINE is that VHS was the place to be in 1984. 2 lntroduction
