Carl Day Carl, a small lad, came our way. With a smile and a laugh he cheered our day. His sparkling eyes and sandy hair Made us all love him while he was here. Carl, a determined hoy. Who tried each task with joy. He pulled his stunts as class clown, With never a frown. Carl in art needed no stencil. Just give him a sketch pad and pencil. Cooking and farming were his delight, Whether it be day or night. Carl will not pass our way again, But his memory will linger within. Cystic Fibrosis took its toll And removed Carl from our class roll. —Friends of Carl For Scotty Espinosa His desk is empty now it was many times in the past But this time we know His going away in February was to be the last. We can close our eyes And all the while Remember in our hearts His happy smile Such a cooperative boy Friendly, cheerful, and loved by all he knew; So much pant and discomfort Yet complaints were so very few. Remembering . He Maketh No Mistakes My Father's way may twist and turn My heart may throb and ache But in my soul I'm glad I know He maketh no mistakes. My cherished plans may go astray My hopes may fade away But still III trust my Lord to lead For He doth know the way.
