THE HISTORY OF THE CLASS OF 1975 August 30th, 1971. The date was unimportant, yet the event stays in every one's mind. It was our first day of our high school years. We walked in like we belonged there, yet those dreaded spirit parties made us remember we were Freshies. Our class became known soon after we arrived at V.H. S., for we added to the confusion and disruption of the daily routine of school. Each one in die Class of 1975 developed their abilities, until we excelled in our own special way. Our Freshman year brought us our share of eggs, yet it was the first time Seniors were egged by Freshmen! We nominated Kathy Francis as our Football Queen candidate, Sharon Heineman as F.F. A. Sweetheart candidate and Pam Harbison as our Basketball Queen candidate. Our Mirror Queen candidate was Tonya Bledsoe. Sophomore year brought u back to V.H. S. and we knew where every room was. This didn't take the fun out of it, though, for we were older and wiser. We nominated Kay Williams for Football Queen candidate, Myra Woods for Basketball Queen candidate, Penny Ford for F.F.A. Barnwarming candidate, and Tammy Everitt as Mirror Queen candidate. Our Junior year brought us the power we thought we had as Freshmen! We proved our responsibility by honoring the Seniors at a Prom. Our theme was Summer Breeze but it should have been Spring Fever. Our Football Queen candidate was Carol Warren, Basketball Princess candidate was Teresa Mast, F.F.A. Bamwarming candidate was Teresa Mast and Mirror Queen candidate was Vicki Musser. Our Senior year finally came! Unfortunately, so did all the work that goes with being a Senior. We lived up to our title, Mighty Seniors, and took advantage of our last year in high school. We had many important decisions to make as a class, and we stuck together for the first time and made them. Our Football Queen candidate was Shar- on Hancock, Teresa Mast reigned over Debbie Smith and Pam Harbison as Basketball Queen; F.F.A. Bamwarming candidate was Kathy Francis. Our class won its first victory by electing Sis Dunavant as Mirror Queen. We all shared a lot during the four years of high school. One thing we learned as a class was to respect those who have different ideas than us. We all shared a lot of work, study, and discipline. Another thing we shared were the many, many good times we had as a class and as individuals. So we say this to V.H.S. ; We will never forget you and we are certain we will never be forgotten. 24 Lori Broderson Class Historian
