1 MOR COHI MORGAN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL Hartselle, Alabama 1964 As we step upon the threshold of the future, we pause to cast a wistful glance down MEMORY LANE. All of the experiences which we have shared, all of the victories and defeats, are treasured memories now. Some of us will soon be leaving Morgan County High, but all students can share in the memories of our high school days. None of us could ever forget our first days in school here. As Junior High stu- dents we felt so small and so very unimportant, in comparison to the upperclass- men. How we strived to be noticed by them! All of our High School years have been filled with opportunities. Through the many clubs available to us, we have had the choice of selecting our particular interest group, whether domestic or religious, student government organizations, the publication staff or any other of our numerous organizations. In sports and mu- sic we have also found our place. We are grateful as we remember those who have guided us. Our principal, our counselor, and our teachers have been an inspiration to us during our High School Years . . . W ithout their help we could not have reached our goals. Down Memory Lane we meet our many classmates, who have shared our joys arid disappointments. We cherish every MEMORY of our experiences at Morgan County High; because of them, we can face the future with courage and confi- dence . . . It is very hard to put into words what our school days have meant to each of us, so it is with this idea that we the MOCOHI staff of '64 prepare this year’s edition. Our only hope is that in the future it will give you enjoyment and pleasure in recalling your Golden Memories of M.C.H.S. David Wallace, Editor MEMBERS: Marion Cash, Carol Nappier, Jane Bennett, Pam Duncan, Ade- line Orr, Debbie Glasscock, Beverly Penn, Susan Hamilton, Gary Bentley, Pat Pierson, Mike Simpson, Jerry Thompson, Paige Maxwell, Kay Puckett, Wanda Cox, Ann Orr, Diana Doss, Judi Eillott, Diane Steverson, Judy Baily, Becky Bean. It is my hope that through the years you will be able to turn these pages with satisfaction and with the assurance that you did your best. Your heritage at M.C.H.S. is rich with opportunity - either passed by or taken advantage of. Too, your future holds unlimited opportunities. May you study this book in the years to come and may it remind you of those opportunities which you have to contribute to society as you contributed to your school. To Coach Brub” Hamilton, a man who has a hard job, but little recognition, a man with bashful ways but always a friendly smile for everyone, we dedicate this yearbook. We meet him first in the seventh grade as a teacher . , , and then as “Coach” on the field and the dia- mond, but his influence on our lives continues throughout our years. The admiration we feel and the gratitude we owe him cannot be expressed in mere words. We, the student body, hope that this dedication will in some way show our gratitude for the help he has given us in our school life and the influence on our later life . . .
