Wh--,..., Fishing, ceramics, photography, hi-fi and traveling are hobbies of Mr. Vernon B. Schultz. He received his B. A. degree fromNorth Central College and his M. A. degree from the University of Arizona. He teaches sophomore English. Mr. Schultz is active in the Lion's Club and does church work at the Morenci Chapel. FROM NOUNS TO Macbeth... ..Speech and English classes gave MHS students a better understanding of the fundamentals of our lan- guage and prepared them for their future lives in a more demanding society. Four years of English are required at Morenci. Tape recordings, phonograph records, short story writing, literature and grammar structure study enlightened the students. These classes offered help also in spelling and correc- tive reading and writing. Shown below are Bobby Perea and Ernest Camacho listening to a recording of MacBeth. Betty Duarte and Roger Martinez, above, discuss the diagrarnrning of a complex sentence. A. from Colurnbia University. She is the financial sponsor for the Copper Cat and also sponsors the sophomore class and the honor society. Mrs. Park's community activities include the St. James Episcopal Church and Guild. Her hobbies are sports, music and reading.
