She had a staff of volunteer, yet capable student assistants. Their jobs were to check out books, make out overdue slips, and file and keep track of the many books in the library. B. A worthwhile course which offers excellent preparatory training for industrial vocation is metal shop. Among their specific duties were collecting absence slips, running errands, answering telephones, and deliver ing messages. Each girl assisted one period a day. Mrs. Archer, secretary, writes a check. Barbara Dawe checks attendance for the period.
